97% Persistence Rates for Veterans says Research

New Research from November 2013 is showing that Veterans enrolled at Colleges with support services in-place have a 97% persistence rate (year to year academic continuance). Which is fantastic! In comparison this ousts the 2013  nationwide average persistence/retention rate of all students, which was 65% ( act.org)  . So with support services inplace we are seeing fantastic results. It would be interesting in comparison to know the nation-wide persistence rate for veterans (even where support programs do not exist). However this is all really great news, confirming what everyone thought, veterans make really fantastic students!

We are begining to see results on the kinds of services schools are offering to support veterans. Currently their is no exact standard of what schools have to offer, so we see a large amount of diversity in offerings even with a sample size as small as 20+ schools.
